Auto Insurance

In Ontario, automobile insurance is mandatory for vehicle owners with mandatory liability insurance limits. The Automobile Insurance Act in Ontario, as well as automobile insurance rates are governed by the provincial bodies. Consequently, keeping abreast of legislative and rate changes can be confusing and time consuming for vehicle owners.

Without in-force insurance, you could be fined up to $5,000 for lack of coverage. Everyone recognizes the pink liability card (usually included within your policy renewal documents) you must carry in your vehicle at all times. It must reflect proper and effective expiry dates; otherwise, you will face a fine from traffic enforcement officers. This slip signifies that there is a valid Insurance policy in force within the prescribed dates. Please remember to insert the new cards into your vehicles.
